Wild peaches smoked on cedar wood
There is little more delicious in a dessert than juicy wild peaches, especially if you grill them! We gave it a VUUR LAB. twist. Together with Greek yogurt, blood orange, cashew nuts and pomegranate, you will steal the show at any BBQ event.
The wild peach is also called Paraguayo, flat peach or wild forest peach. This peach is a stone fruit, just like a plum or cherry. As such, the fruit contains a hard, stony kernel. The juicy, firm flesh is white in colour. The wild peach has a delicate sweet flavour that is stronger than that of the common peach.

What do you need for this tasty summer fruit dessert?
For two people:
BBQ Outdoor cooking stove VUUR LAB. (We cooked with the XL this time)
Wood for stoking the stove
Lighters and matches
BBQ tongs + BBQ spatula
Cutting board + knife
Wild peaches ( four pieces)
Cup of Greek yoghurt
Pomegranate (seeds)
Small handful of bruised unroasted cashews
1 blood orange
Nice plate to serve dessert on
Preparation
Put the BBQ outdoor cooking stove in a nice spot in the garden where you can cook outside quietly
Put the firewood in the BBQ Outdoor cooking stove with a couple of firelighters and light the firelighters, wait about 30 minutes until charcoal forms, which you will need to use on the briquette grid. You can also choose coconut briquettes (you heat these beforehand in a starter)
Place the briquette grid and grill grate in the BBQ outdoor cooking stove.
Place some hot coals on the briquette grid
Cut the peaches into quarters (remove the stone)
Divide the wedges between the Tapas smoking boards
Place the Tapas smoking boards on the grill rack and cover with a lid
Smoke the wild peaches for about 25 minutes
Top the plate with the Greek yoghurt, pomegranate, cashew nuts, blood orange and warm smoked wild peaches.
Enjoy your meal!
