A French toast is also known as 'lost bread' or 'won bread'. It is a sweet bread dish that has been prepared for centuries. Slices of bread are soaked very briefly in a mixture of milk and eggs and then baked (on our Outdoor cooking stove for example!). When the French toast is ready, you can finish it off with sugar or cinnamon. Toppings can also be chosen to your heart's content: nothing is too crazy! We chose delicious, sweet strawberries and Easter chocolate.
