Corten steel is also called weatherproof steel. We use this material for the Outdooroven and Outdooroven XL. This type of steel creates a thick layer of rust which protects the material from all weather conditions. Weltevree's Outdoorovens do not just have a thick layer of rust because it looks beautiful and robust. The Outdoorovens also have this layer of rust to protect themselves against all weather conditions.

Corten steel, also known as Corten steel, is a group of steel alloys developed so that it does not need to be painted over. Not even after years of exposure to various weather conditions. The steel was named COR-TEN because of certain properties: COR (corrosion resistant) and TEN (tensile strength). This ensures that the material protects itself from wind and rain, and prevents further oxidation.

Products made of Corten steel are supplied without the rust layer. When the product is outside, a layer of rust forms after a few weeks or months, depending on the environment. After delivery, the Outdooroven is immediately ready for use, no pre-treatment is required. Caution! Be careful with the heat when adding wood or opening the door.

To prolong the Outdooroven's life, it is a good idea to clean it, at least once a year, with a firm brush.
Remove any leaves or dirt from the Outdooroven, as this can damage the rust layer. In addition, make sure the product is in a place where it can dry quickly after a rain shower.
