The cultural fusion to crispy pizza points

Making your own pizza for the BBQ is incredibly fun and very interactive. You can enjoy the crackling sound of the fire and creatively put together a pizza. It really gives a unique flavour and lets you feast outdoors on a beautiful summer evening.

Four large pizza slices fit on the pizza stone. Looking at the pizza points, this time we chose a fairly organic topping, consisting of: organic tomato sauce, assorted peppers, red onion, organic ham, organic salami, gorgonzola, pesto and grated cheese.

What do you need for this deliciously crisp pizza?

Turkish bread
Organic tomato sauce
Yellow, orange and red peppers
Red onion
Organic ham
Organic salami
Gorgonzola
Jar of green pesto
Grated cheese
Chef's knife
Cutting board, 2 bowl and a small spoon
Charcoal and BBQ starter
Pizza stone
Serving board

Preparation

Place the briquette grid in the BBQ outdoor cooking stove.
Fill the BBQ starter with coals and wait about 20 minutes until it is ready to start the BBQ.
Empty the BBQ starter onto the briquette grate.
Place the grill rack on the BBQ and keep an eye on the fire.
Place the pizza stone on the grill rack beforehand, so that the pizza stone can already preheat.
Grab a cutting board and cut the Turkish bread in half. The Turkish bread can then be prepared in two x four pieces. Also start cutting the pepper and red onion into small pieces.
Cut the organic ham and salami into the size you want.
Open the tomato sauce and spread some on the pizza with a spoon. The tomato sauce is your base.
Scatter some pieces of pepper and onion on the pizza slices. It varies per person how much pepper the person wants, of course!
Add some pesto with a spoon and top with the slices of salami and/or ham. Again, this can vary from person to person.
Sprinkle some grated cheese on top and add not a little gorgonzola.
Move the pizza slices onto the serving board to take it to the BBQ.
Place the pizza slices on the pizza stone, put the lid on the BBQ and keep a close eye on the pizza! It depends on the temperature how fast the pizza can go. (Don't forget to use your BBQ glove when checking)
Once the Pizza looks ready, it's time to scoop it onto a nice serving board. Buon appetito!
