Making this dish on western red cedar smoking boards gives the portobello a delicious sweet-spicy smoky flavour.
Serve the hot portobellos directly from the hot smoking board. It not only looks nice, but also irresistibly delicious!

Preparation
Place the briquette grid in the BBQ outdoor cooking stove.
Fill the BBQ starter with coals, briquettes and kindling and wait about 20 minutes until it is ready to start the BBQ.
Empty the BBQ starter onto the briquette grate.
Place the griddle on the BBQ and grill the smoking boards for a few minutes (temperature of about 150 degrees).
Clean the portobello
Add to the portobello a thick blob of pesto and thick slice of gorgonzola cheese
You can also add your favourite spices to it if necessary
Move the portobello onto the smoking boards and place on the baking tray for about 15 minutes (keep an eye on the portobello in between).
Remove the smoking boards from the baking tray again
Serve the portobello on a festive sign
Finish the dish with fresh herbs and enjoy!
